At Academy of Learning Career College, North York, we believe the holiday season is the perfect time to come together and celebrate. On December 17, our team gathered for a festive Christmas event filled with fun activities, great food, and a lot of holiday spirit. Staff members from all departments, including the Financial Department, Career Advisors, Human Resources, and Marketing, came together for a day of laughter and cheer.
The event began with everyone arriving in their most imaginative Christmas outfits. One of the highlights of the day was the “Ugly Sweater” contest. Staff members wore their funniest, brightest, and most colourful sweaters, with some featuring flashing lights and others decorated with cheerful pom-poms. It was a fun way to set the festive mood for the day. The winner of the “Ugly Sweater” contest at our North York Campus was Anabel Daquigan from the Finance Department, who wore an especially creative and festive sweater that had everyone laughing. Anabel truly became the star of the competition!
As everyone gathered, the hall was filled with the mouth-watering scent of holiday food. The meal featured all the Christmas classics, including roast turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. In addition, there were plenty of other delicious treats, each made with care and love. The staff enjoyed chatting and reminiscing about the past year over their meals. Of course, no Christmas celebration would be complete without dessert, and there was an array of sweet treats to enjoy!
The fun didn’t stop with the food. We had a variety of activities planned to keep everyone engaged. One of the most popular events of the day was the “Trivia Games.” Staff members from different departments formed teams and competed in Christmas-themed challenges organized by HR. There was plenty of laughter as everyone tried to answer quirky questions and outwit the other teams. It was a wonderful way to come together, have fun, and celebrate the holiday season.
The event was a huge success and a perfect way for all of us to celebrate Christmas. It reminded us of the importance of teamwork and how much we can enjoy each other’s company outside of our regular tasks.
